Greywater is intended as water coming from sinks, showers and bathtubs (excluding toilets, bidets and the entire kitchen) which, due to its level of contamination, can be collected, treated and disinfected and then returned to domestic use (inside cisterns) or reused for irrigation. The IDROCELL greywater recovery and reuse system can reduce drinking water consumption in a simple and safe manner.
The water used for personal hygiene (greywater) is returned to a hygienically pure status using the IDROCELL system. Water is thereby reused for flushing the toilet, watering the garden, cleaning the building or for washing machines.
IDROCELL is an UF (Ultra-Filtration) type system on membranes. Ultra-Filtration is a membrane process that allows soluble macro-molecules and every substance with dimensions over the molecular size of the membrane to be retained, while allowing permeation of solvent molecules, ions and smaller sized molecules.
UF is useful to remove all microbiological species, including some viruses (it is not however an absolute barrier).
The reuse system proposed is composed of prefabricated monoblocks in PE for installation over-ground, equipped with greywater inlet and outlet holes and all the electromechanical equipment necessary for correct operation.
